This privacy policy describes how the Cockroach Job Dash mobile application (also distributed as Cockroach Janta Play) — the "App", "we", "us" — published by Karido Private Limited (www.karido.in), handles personal information when you use it. The App is intended for users aged 16 and above. To play, and in particular to use the online leaderboard and cloud-save features, the App requires you to sign in with a third-party identity provider — Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Log in with Facebook (Meta). This policy explains what data those providers share with us, what we store, how long we keep it, and how you can delete your account.
1.1 Data you provide directly. When you sign in for the first time we create an account for you using the information returned by your chosen sign-in provider. The App itself does not ask you to type a password, phone number, or postal address. The only free-text input you provide inside the App is:
1.2 Data we receive from sign-in providers. When you tap Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Log in with Facebook, the provider returns a set of attributes to the App. The exact fields depend on the provider and the permissions you approve on their consent screen, but the maximum set is:
We do not request friends lists, posts, photos, contacts, calendar, location, or any other permission from any of the three providers beyond the minimum profile scope described above.
1.3 Data automatically collected. When your device talks to our leaderboard / cloud-save backend, the following operational data is briefly visible or recorded:
We do not collect precise location, advertising identifiers, IMEI/MAC addresses, contacts, SMS, photos, microphone, or camera data. The App requests no permissions to access any of these on your device.
We use the limited data described above only for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal information, do not share it with advertisers, and do not use it for behavioural advertising or profiling.
Your sign-in provider is an independent data controller for its own processing of your account information. When you sign in, that provider is subject to its privacy policy, not this one. We recommend that you review the following:
public_profile and
email permissions only. Meta also supports a data deletion
callback; if you remove our app from your Facebook account, Meta notifies us
and we delete the linked account within 30 days.Apple's Sign in with Apple requirement. Because the App offers login with Google and/or Facebook, it also offers Sign in with Apple as required by App Store Review Guideline 4.8. Sign in with Apple is presented with equal prominence in the sign-in screen.
Inside the App's sandboxed local storage on your device we keep:
All of this is removed automatically when you sign out, uninstall the App, or clear the App's data from your device settings.
Once you have signed in and accepted the in-app Terms & Privacy screen, the App makes HTTPS calls to our backend to:
All requests are made over TLS (HTTPS). No data is transmitted before you sign in and accept the consent screen.
What a leaderboard entry contains. A public leaderboard row shows only your display name and your score. Your email address, provider identifier, IP address, and any other account attributes are stored server-side only and are never shown publicly or shared with other players.
The App requests only the following device-level permissions:
The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, calendar, SMS, or phone identifiers.
The App contains no third-party advertising, no in-app purchases, no behavioural analytics SDKs, no crash-analytics SDKs that receive personal data, and no social-sharing or messaging SDKs beyond the sign-in providers listed below. The third parties that touch any of your data, and the role each one plays, are:
Retention. We keep account records for as long as your account is active. Server access logs (which briefly contain your IP address) are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted or fully anonymised. If your account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, we may delete it and all associated leaderboard entries.
In-app account deletion. As required by Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), you can delete your account and all associated data from within the App: open the Settings screen and tap Delete account. The deletion is applied to our backend within 30 days.
By email. You can also request deletion, export, correction, or restriction of processing of your personal data by emailing admin@karido.in from the address linked to your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Legal bases (GDPR, where applicable). We process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of the contract under which we provide the App to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for account creation, sign-in, cloud save, and leaderboard display; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for anti-abuse and security logging; and consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where you have explicitly opted in through the in-app consent screen.
Your rights. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Contact admin@karido.in to exercise any of these rights.
Karido Private Limited is based in India. Our processors (Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft) operate globally and may process your personal data in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Each of these processors publishes appropriate transfer safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent frameworks); we rely on their published safeguards for any international transfer of personal data.
The App is rated and intended for users aged 16 years and above (PEGI 16 / ESRB Teen / IARC 16+). It is not directed at, designed for, or marketed to children under 16, and it is not a participant in the Google Play Families / Designed for Families programme.
The 16+ rating reflects the App's satirical adult subject matter — unemployment, job-market pressure, bureaucratic frustration, and dark humour about modern working life — which is most meaningful to teenage and adult players. The gameplay itself is a cartoon obstacle-avoidance "flap" game and contains no gore, no realistic violence, no sexual content, no profanity, no gambling, and no depiction of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
This section explains how the App treats children, in line with Google Play's Families Policy Requirements, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Article 8 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K), and the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code).
11.1 Target audience. The App is intended solely for users aged 16 and older. It is not a "child-directed" app under COPPA. Karido Private Limited does not market, promote, advertise, or distribute the App to children under 16 through any channel. The App is published in Google Play with a target age range of 16+ and the target audience selector in Play Console is set accordingly.
11.2 Sign-in providers gate under-age access. Apple, Google, and Meta each enforce a minimum age for creating and using their own accounts (13 in most jurisdictions, higher in some — e.g. 16 across most of the EEA). A user cannot sign in to the App without first meeting the sign-in provider's age requirement and, where applicable, having verifiable parental consent obtained by the provider under COPPA or GDPR-K. We do not bypass that gate.
11.3 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we hold personal information from a user we know or reasonably suspect to be under 16, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or legal guardians who believe that a child under 16 has created an account may contact admin@karido.in and we will delete the account and all associated data within 30 days.
11.4 No advertising, no third-party trackers. The App contains no third-party advertising, no in-app purchases, no behavioural advertising, no remarketing, no analytics SDKs (including no Google Analytics for Firebase), no crash-reporting SDKs that receive personal data, and no social-sharing components beyond the three named sign-in providers.
11.5 If a child uses the App anyway. If a user under 16 signs in contrary to these Terms and the sign-in provider's own rules, only the minimum set of attributes described in section 1.2 will have been received (provider user ID, display name, email or Apple relay address, and optionally profile picture URL). A parent or guardian can delete the account and all data by using Delete account inside the App, or by emailing admin@karido.in.
11.6 Parental rights and contact. Parents or legal guardians who wish to review, correct, or delete personal information relating to a child under 16 may contact us at admin@karido.in. We will respond and, where applicable, delete the information within 30 days of a verified request.
11.7 Reporting concerns. Concerns about the App's compliance with Google Play's Families Policy may also be reported directly to Google via the Play Store listing's "Flag as inappropriate" link, or to a local data-protection authority where the user resides.
If this policy changes in any future version of the App, the updated policy will be published at the same URL where you found this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. If a change materially reduces your rights or expands the categories of data we collect, we will bring it to your attention through an in-app notice on next launch and, where required by law, ask for your renewed consent.
