These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "the user") and Karido Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 3-9-223/B, Anand Bhavan, West Maredpally, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Telangana 500026, India ("Karido", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of the mobile application Cockroach Job Dash — also distributed as Cockroach Janta Play on Apple's App Store — and any related services (together, the "App"). By downloading, installing, opening, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is intended for users aged 16 years and above. By using the App you represent and warrant that (a) you are at least 16 years old, (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, and (c) you are not prohibited from using the App under any applicable law. If you are under 16, do not download or use the App; parents or legal guardians who become aware that a user under 16 is using the App should uninstall it from that user's device.
To play the App, and in particular to use the online leaderboard and cloud-save features, you must create an account by signing in with one of the supported third-party identity providers:
As required by Apple App Store Review Guideline 4.8, Sign in with Apple is offered alongside Google and Facebook with equal prominence. You choose which provider to use. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the underlying provider account you sign in with; Karido has no visibility into your provider password and cannot recover access to your provider account on your behalf.
Information received. When you sign in, the provider returns a limited set of attributes to us (an opaque user identifier and, subject to your consent on the provider's screen, a display name, email address or Apple relay address, and profile picture URL). We use these only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. We do not receive your provider password and we do not request any additional permissions (friends list, posts, contacts, calendar, etc.) from any provider.
One person, one account. You may hold only one active account. Signing in through a different provider with the same email address will, where possible, link to your existing account rather than create a new one. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, cheating countermeasures, or leaderboard rules is a violation of these Terms and grounds for termination.
Accuracy. The display name and email attached to your account come from your sign-in provider. If you change them on the provider side, you may need to sign out and sign back in to update them in the App.
Signing out. You can sign out at any time from the App's Settings screen. Signing out ends the local session but does not delete your account — see section 15 for account deletion.
Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, Karido grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to download, install, and use one copy of the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Karido and its licensors.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use of the App through those stores is also subject to the applicable store's terms — in particular, the Apple Media Services Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the applicable store terms with respect to distribution, the store terms will prevail as required by that store's rules.
Apple-specific acknowledgements. If you obtain the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that: (i) these Terms are between you and Karido, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content; (ii) the licence granted in these Terms is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms; (iii) Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support services for the App; (iv) in the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any) — to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App; (v) Karido, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any user or third-party claims relating to the App or your use of it; (vi) Karido, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim relating to the App; (vii) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and (viii) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to, do any of the following in connection with the App:
The App offers an online global leaderboard. Because leaderboard submissions are made from your signed-in account, each entry is linked to the account you created under section 2. See section 5 of the Privacy Policy for the exact details of what is stored server-side and what is displayed publicly.
What appears publicly. Only your display name and score appear on the public leaderboard. Your email address, provider user identifier, IP address, and any other account attributes are never displayed to other players.
Display-name policy. Your display name must be short and must not contain: real names of third parties, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, URLs, profanity, slurs, hate speech, sexual content, or content that impersonates another person or brand. You are asked not to include your own personal contact information in your display name. You are solely responsible for the display name you choose.
Licence to us. By submitting a display name and score to the leaderboard, you grant Karido a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that submission within the App and its leaderboard, for as long as the entry remains on the leaderboard. You represent that you have the right to grant this licence.
Moderation. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, edit or remove any display name, score, or entry that we believe (a) violates these Terms, (b) is fraudulent, cheated, or automated, (c) contains offensive or infringing content, or (d) is required to be removed to comply with law or a lawful request. We may also suspend or ban accounts, devices, or IP ranges that repeatedly violate these Terms.
Deletion of a single entry. To request removal of a specific leaderboard entry without deleting your whole account, email admin@karido.in from the address linked to your account. To delete your account and everything associated with it, see section 15.
The App, including its code, art, characters, sound, music, story, level design, and all associated trademarks (including Cockroach Job Dash, Cockroach Janta Play, and the Karido name and logo) is owned by Karido Private Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence granted in section 3, no rights are granted to you in the App or any of the content it contains.
If you send us suggestions, feature requests, or feedback about the App, you agree that we may use, reproduce, and act on that feedback without any obligation of confidentiality, attribution, or compensation to you.
The App relies on the following third-party services: Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.), Sign in with Google (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd), and Log in with Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.) for account authentication; Microsoft Azure App Service (Microsoft Corporation) for hosting our backend as our data processor; and the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for distribution. Each of those services is subject to its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service beyond the scope of our own agreements with those providers.
The App is currently offered free of charge and contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising. If this changes in a future version, updated Terms will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karido disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any defect in the App will be corrected. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights or statutory warranties that cannot be waived under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Karido, its directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Karido has been informed of the possibility of such damage. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karido's aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed one hundred Indian rupees (INR 100) or the amount you paid to Karido for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Karido and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the App in violation of these Terms, (b) any content you submit through the App (including your display name and leaderboard entries), or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may terminate them at any time by deleting your account (section 15), uninstalling the App, and ceasing all use. We may suspend or terminate your account or your access to the App or its online features (including the leaderboard) at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17) will survive.
As required by Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), you can delete your account and all associated personal data from within the App:

If for any reason you cannot use the in-app deletion flow — for example, if you can no longer sign in — you can also request deletion by emailing admin@karido.in from the address linked to your account or, if you signed in with Apple's Hide My Email, from any email address along with the Apple relay address you were assigned. We will respond and, on verification, delete the account within 30 days.
We may retain a minimal, non-personal record of the fact that an account was deleted (for anti-abuse and legal-compliance purposes) for up to 12 months after deletion.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence, you and Karido agree that the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual-property rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and publish the revised Terms at the same URL. Your continued use of the App after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If any change materially reduces your rights or expands our processing of your personal data, we will bring it to your attention through an in-app notice on next launch and, where required by law, ask for your renewed consent.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Karido regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms freely in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
